Yes, I am and here is a little catch up.<br /><br />In July my eldest daughter, Rachel, and her family moved to Hawaii.<br /><br />The beginning of July my younger daughter, Catie, announced her engagement (he emailed to ask us permission first!), and set the date for the end of September, as both of them are students in England and there would be a break for them at that time. They flew to Idaho the week before the wedding and stayed for a few day after then flew back to England--what a whirl wind!!<br /><br />Only our son, Jon, was able to get home for Christmas, but we had a great time. I am looking forward to doing some traveling later in the year (Hawaii and maybe England) to visit my grandson (oh yeah, also my daughter and son-in-law!!)<br /><br />I have been on semi-bed rest since the beginning of Oct for planter fascittis (sorry about the spelling!) and it is finally getting better. I was able to get a great deal of knitting done but no blogging!<br /><br />For those friends who were wanting pictures - they will be coming later :o) One picture I will post now is my new angora bunny, Shafan, who came to live with us the middle of October.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmQdMbZXIzUIolaaeQUWCRnscztSL77Z5ySaJQZ-gcpiL0KNRo2TxZt5NxgEkWpsONFzImswM2igP9o0JRtOXOXGQdWcOdhCovlluJhfJI5whmQhuv8bK7CqLq9N_QmmZukIpQGp6uFOI/s1600-h/PA210015.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmQdMbZXIzUIolaaeQUWCRnscztSL77Z5ySaJQZ-gcpiL0KNRo2TxZt5NxgEkWpsONFzImswM2igP9o0JRtOXOXGQdWcOdhCovlluJhfJI5whmQhuv8bK7CqLq9N_QmmZukIpQGp6uFOI/s200/PA210015.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5157725929646600594" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYL6DQJoGI3AZiOILVdHgkr8z5vCe1jLErKnVs8Nrbeo6za7LP2XEitdSu7dYkPpuBc7ThDTFGYbPXY-D3LltbVhTI4EZtjuc49jGGH25yUjTlwcCCiyhZpgphvU8sPuvJ6lnYQhzQnng/s1600-h/PA120013.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYL6DQJoGI3AZiOILVdHgkr8z5vCe1jLErKnVs8Nrbeo6za7LP2XEitdSu7dYkPpuBc7ThDTFGYbPXY-D3LltbVhTI4EZtjuc49jGGH25yUjTlwcCCiyhZpgphvU8sPuvJ6lnYQhzQnng/s200/PA120013.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5157726479402414498" border="0" /></a>Debora Bhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14333558838255464982noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3755194897218456706.post-44826192120411592712007-07-31T17:15:00.000-07:002007-07-31T17:20:09.615-07:00Finished a project!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHdSe5eSq0khWhf2vBmrJPDj-6hMsKhUuzhngqvjp3v6F7AehRv_qOXhkQq6EdvK8MoxTnRcnktdcWNyazXheyllOB_uB1igRngHD9MDR3eiSLTmhKmDJW-AVeAITnEhHfbk7QCrG-NGY/s1600-h/P7310079.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHdSe5eSq0khWhf2vBmrJPDj-6hMsKhUuzhngqvjp3v6F7AehRv_qOXhkQq6EdvK8MoxTnRcnktdcWNyazXheyllOB_uB1igRngHD9MDR3eiSLTmhKmDJW-AVeAITnEhHfbk7QCrG-NGY/s320/P7310079.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5093520162686679122" border="0" /></a><br />I finished my Elizabeth Zimmerman's Pi shawl! I belong to way too many Yahoo groups!! This one is using <a href="http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Elizabeths_Year/?yguid=312138764">EZ's almanac</a> to make different projects each month. July is the Pi shawl. I started the shawl on July 12th and finished today! Just in time! I have several projects OTN and will probably skip the August project and go on to September's.Debora Bhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14333558838255464982noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3755194897218456706.post-47665179106996168012007-07-25T09:43:00.001-07:002007-07-25T09:56:16.815-07:00Catching up!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqIuNjrVjfNgzyNK1WExog7jJ5ilSySneQGtxBL8nie2BXJS8vsiKVzlz_nsxQpt2rDb5ko07r4VhZ2qRmxSkI6CGsDLFwpfFBcZ0wJnUfdFpU84hz2u7fIVkeQ9N06qMMgs66_O4li3g/s1600-h/P7120070.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqIuNjrVjfNgzyNK1WExog7jJ5ilSySneQGtxBL8nie2BXJS8vsiKVzlz_nsxQpt2rDb5ko07r4VhZ2qRmxSkI6CGsDLFwpfFBcZ0wJnUfdFpU84hz2u7fIVkeQ9N06qMMgs66_O4li3g/s320/P7120070.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5091176802760177682" border="0" /></a><br />I am finally catching up with a few things! I used Brown Sheep's Wildfoote yarn in Tom Cat colorway and size 2 needles. I had wanted to try a toe up pattern and couldn't find a pattern so I made this up as I went- I didn't like the heel, but I have since found a toe up pattern and will try it on my next pair and see if I like the heel better. I also used a lace cable stitch from a Big Book of Knitting Stitch Patterns. I liked being able to try the socks on as I went.Debora Bhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14333558838255464982noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3755194897218456706.post-9459481629626701332007-06-12T12:22:00.001-07:002007-06-12T12:29:54.380-07:00<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAD52bGZtJa4Gx34UEhiDOtXyrBmX5bFndx-LcidJgfvn9eXMbobVP71UdqeN7cROFwvE1jxvbmbeciKCf1q6zs12p6S47ry_VasUZONuvoi7AjSkwKlDPfmF7RfzqMkceIKGJRjp_lFM/s1600-h/P6040066.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAD52bGZtJa4Gx34UEhiDOtXyrBmX5bFndx-LcidJgfvn9eXMbobVP71UdqeN7cROFwvE1jxvbmbeciKCf1q6zs12p6S47ry_VasUZONuvoi7AjSkwKlDPfmF7RfzqMkceIKGJRjp_lFM/s320/P6040066.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5075262115726993730" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiieLrbBfPGrlGnnIEPCvDsBmUPQipCKMWaevnI3Tj84JoPNGSBR6GGvmgwldHl5-aK2bnpACit7GSguFn8u50m4vrPC-1GnDKQ-BnnaWuYbgit_8UFtD04Di1yOvT1dmDaEWf8Jz3bqw4/s1600-h/P6040067.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiieLrbBfPGrlGnnIEPCvDsBmUPQipCKMWaevnI3Tj84JoPNGSBR6GGvmgwldHl5-aK2bnpACit7GSguFn8u50m4vrPC-1GnDKQ-BnnaWuYbgit_8UFtD04Di1yOvT1dmDaEWf8Jz3bqw4/s320/P6040067.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5075262120021961042" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRmfHL8TfpCUcKRYlaUmkLWcZIhFf206Sk9KoZlHALhZSoLiHViMU8a08NjgiQ8SnrAjmhZOVlCXIv05EIUaEJF42Tq_VhqrfC6HRB0UwJfu5O55leR4Z8RnzGInxYs4Fbkgvb5bEDNcU/s1600-h/P6060068.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRmfHL8TfpCUcKRYlaUmkLWcZIhFf206Sk9KoZlHALhZSoLiHViMU8a08NjgiQ8SnrAjmhZOVlCXIv05EIUaEJF42Tq_VhqrfC6HRB0UwJfu5O55leR4Z8RnzGInxYs4Fbkgvb5bEDNcU/s320/P6060068.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5075262128611895650" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaXIREmwMx1OsOspyEhUUDglXBLWfa6iGDO7CLjbUQU4bRHRoVxUa9Em4vZFX_Rm6waW9Wr7NmbspEkB7TSb-tlKMHBpk4z2xeOCC3NCihy7cTg0RJMlBBrZzorIRW1CxNEp6a8ygmwR8/s1600-h/P6060069.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaXIREmwMx1OsOspyEhUUDglXBLWfa6iGDO7CLjbUQU4bRHRoVxUa9Em4vZFX_Rm6waW9Wr7NmbspEkB7TSb-tlKMHBpk4z2xeOCC3NCihy7cTg0RJMlBBrZzorIRW1CxNEp6a8ygmwR8/s320/P6060069.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5075262132906862962" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKDyP79d6WWqKBDj41H21mwrP1qJ-sCxWF4Dw_niSU8Jy-YYyrvUZZEdd4emYe2JIHj44oWFNE25mhu2xW63ZiLzFgGdosgTRZMwIl7SYyvKWbqsvp-73u0X4MAkYEj9o2AJY4KneaORI/s1600-h/P6060070.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKDyP79d6WWqKBDj41H21mwrP1qJ-sCxWF4Dw_niSU8Jy-YYyrvUZZEdd4emYe2JIHj44oWFNE25mhu2xW63ZiLzFgGdosgTRZMwIl7SYyvKWbqsvp-73u0X4MAkYEj9o2AJY4KneaORI/s320/P6060070.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5075262137201830274" border="0" /></a>Debora Bhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14333558838255464982noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3755194897218456706.post-64227464776561222702007-06-12T12:13:00.000-07:002007-06-12T12:31:07.680-07:00VacationMy husband and I went camping early last week with our son (he is home on a three week leave). You have to understand that we live in Idaho and it has not rained in several weeks and the weather has been in the 80's etc. We left on Monday and the temps were in the low 80's beautiful- headed for Redfish Lake in central Idaho. The first two pictures show the camp site. Tuesday was colder (mid 50's) and drizzle of rain, but bearable. Dave and Jon went for a 10 mile hike while Mom stayed at camp to rest and get some knitting and quilting done. Rained most of Tuesday night and we woke to SNOW!!!! It was not sticking to the ground near the camp site but you could see it in the surrounding mountains and the next pictures are of the Gelena pass (elevation 8,701) were it was sticking!!!! Needless to say we packed up and left Wednesday. I have been in bed the last three days with a cold!!! I never was sick over the winter, but of course it is June and now I have a cold :o) But you have to love Idaho- it is always an adventure!!!Debora Bhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14333558838255464982noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3755194897218456706.post-88522300627164538162007-05-30T06:50:00.000-07:002007-05-30T07:04:17.446-07:00My May SAM3 Socks<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0rsK0xEttSEs_QCmU1xOo6Zrd8413MpXqxFoSNzdGByp8nKD6Qu9I3XbOXj-qnYaYmbu9Y_ruW0tdeGqJ1_79_rcvwsUUzVddE7dXlNn3MmYLo-6uQbBMu1_m6Pz1-5XK_LMwVPVdcV4/s1600-h/P5290067.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0rsK0xEttSEs_QCmU1xOo6Zrd8413MpXqxFoSNzdGByp8nKD6Qu9I3XbOXj-qnYaYmbu9Y_ruW0tdeGqJ1_79_rcvwsUUzVddE7dXlNn3MmYLo-6uQbBMu1_m6Pz1-5XK_LMwVPVdcV4/s320/P5290067.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5070354181701013298" border="0" /></a><br />Here is a picture of my SAM3 socks. I realized after I posted last time that in my excitement that I misspelled SAM!! I used my own hand dyed Merino yarn (fingering weight) and size 2 needles. I adapted Barbara Walker's Tilting Ladder pattern from her Second Treasury. I also reinforced the toes and heels with Fortissima Socka. I am working up the pattern and would love to have a couple of people test it for me :o) So let me know if you are interested in being a tester.Debora Bhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14333558838255464982noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3755194897218456706.post-26658222353010575682007-05-28T18:00:00.001-07:002007-05-28T18:00:54.445-07:00SOM3I JUST FINISHED MY SOCKS!!! I started my business KnitTogether in 1986, in Chicago, after my second daughter was born. After my son was born in 1988 the business came to a standstill until about 4 years ago when I began to dye fabric and then roving for spinning. I have been selling on eBay and will do the occasional vendor show. My husband and I became empty nesters this past year and this summer I plan to get some of my knitting designs down on paper and published! Thanks for stopping by! Come again.Debora Bhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14333558838255464982noreply@blogger.com0
